The anti-loneliness bench!
We are in contact with schools, architects, designers and recycling centres on how to make these benches for school playgrounds but we need your input, knowledge, hands and help!

The anti-loneliness bench is a place for a child to sit when they feel the need, not necessarily of a chat, but possibly of company.

There exists in the UK, the USA and Poland,  “Happy to Chat” or “Buddy Benches”.

Our joint concept for playgrounds so far is for them to be:

•  With seats at different heights for conversations “on the level”, at the same eye height between children and adults

• In a semicircle, so that they can sit opposite and not always next to each other to aid communication or companionship without forced proximity

• With an opening that allows for one or two wheelchairs to enter the space, so all are welcome

For this concept to gain momentum, we are seeking further collaborators.

Le banc contre la solitude pour les cours d’école!

Nous sommes en contact avec des écoles, architectes, créateurs et des recycleries pour réaliser ces bancs avec des matériaux recyclés.

Le banc contre la solitude est un endroit où un enfant peut s’asseoir lorsqu’il en a  besoin. Pas nécessairement pour parler, mais simplement pour trouver de la compagnie.

Il existe au Royaume-Uni et aux USA des « Buddy Benches », « Happy to chat » (Heureux de discuter)

Les éléments de notre concept commun pour les aires de jeux sont :

•  Avec des sièges à différentes hauteurs pour que les enfants et adultes puissent discuter au même niveau (des yeux)

• eats at different heights for conversations “on the level”, at the same eye height between children and adults

• Banc courbe, même presque en demi-cercle, afin qu’ils puissent s’asseoir face à face et pas toujours l’un à côté de l’autre pour faciliter la communication ou la camaraderie sans proximité forcée

• Avec une ouverture qui permet à un ou deux fauteuils roulants d’entrer dans l’espace, pour que tous soient les bienvenus

Pour que ce concept prenne de l’ampleur, nous recherchons d’autres collaborateurs.
